'Heavy Hitters' Germany, France 'Object' To New Sanctions Against Russia

The European Union failed to reach an agreement over a new package of sanctions against Russia. Politico reports that negotiations will resume next week. Citing sources, the report says, Germany and France raised 'concerns' with the latest package of sanctions. The 11th package of EU sanctions against Russia aims at closing loopholes and includes a new mechanism to potentially punish countries outside of the EU that enable sanctions evasion.
