LES TERRIENS COLONISENT DES PLANÈTES ET EXPLORENT DE NOUVEAUX SYSTÈMES PLANÉTAIRES. ILS ENTRENT ÉGALEMENT EN RELATION AVEC DES CIVILISATIONS EXTRATERRESTRES. PETIT À PETIT, ILS SE TROUVENT MENACÉS PAR L'UNE D'ENTRE ELLES, LA BELLIQUEUSE CIVILISATION DES ARACHNIDES.

Critiques :

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Lors de la sortie du film, certains ont crié à l'apologie de la violence. C'était mal connaître Paul Verhoeven, dont toute l'œuvre dénonce la déshumanisation qui guette le monde. «Starship Troopers» est à la SF ce que «Robocop» est au polar, une projection ironique de nos fantasmes les moins avouables. Ainsi qu'un film d'action à couper le souffle.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Une épopée intergalactique à la fois spectaculaire et subversive, qui bénéficie d’une réalisation très impressionnante.
