Le terme "architecture arabe d'Andalouse" qui fait fantasmer les biens pensants de gauche, ne veut rien dire et est hors sujet.
Les dirigeants musulmans de l'Espagne après conquête avait plus tôt des bonnes relations avec Byzance et de nombreux architectes ont été envoyés en Espagne pour bâtir des Palais et mosquées des conquérants. L'art architectural global que l'on retrouve en Espagne du 8ème au 15ème grosso modo et un mélange d'art byzantin, art wisigothique (qui descend de l'art romain d'occident surtout avec les voûtes) et art mauresque. Rien avoir avec ce que l'on peut trouver en Egypte ou à Bagdag. Le terme art oriental ne veut rien dire non plus comme d'ailleurs l'art occidental car tout est propre à chaque pays.

Les ouvriers constructeurs dans l'Espagne de ces périodes pouvaient à la fois faire des églises et des mosquée.
