Le règne animal (2023)

Pas de critique à chaud exceptionnellement , car je l'ai vu il y a 8 mois.

Je me souviens avoir aimé la photographie du film, sa prise de risque, son scénario original, la mutation qui se fait de manière cohérente, sa bande son, sa très belle fin ouverte qui pourrait donner lieu à un second volet dans le style "La planète des singes : l'affrontement" mais qu'on aura probablement jamais, malheureusement ...

J'avais moins aimé les scènes d'action souvent (très) kitsch tout comme certains effets d'esthétismes ratés chez les mutants, la performance insipide au possible de Adèle Exarchopoulous

Holy Motors (2012)

J'ai tenu une heure et c'est pas un mince exploit, donc je vais pas m'emmerder à faire une critique. Pour moi ce genre de film incongru au possible n'a strictement aucun sens, ni intérêt. Mais ça plaira à un public de Bobo pseudo avant-gardistes qui tentera de nous faire croire (sans le croire eux-mêmes pour la majorité) qu'on est fasse à l'une des plus belles œuvres de l'histoire du cinéma. FUYEZ PAUVRES FOUS!!!

c'est vrai qu'il est vraiment bien et très poétique à sa façon

Tortue Rouge

Le long métrage narratif du réalisateur néerlandais Michael Dudok de Wit, La Tortue rouge, est une métaphore discrète et plutôt pragmatique de la nécessité d'accepter son destin plutôt que de le rejeter. Un conte hybride qui commence par une lutte entre l'homme et la nature, puis se transforme en une lutte entre l'homme et lui-même.

Reste alors en suspens cette question métaphysique : La tortue rouge existe t-elle vraiment ? Elle représente la solitude, le calme, la liberté et donc de facto une forme de lâcher-prise. Lorsque le naufragé essaye de voguer sur son embarcation d'infortune mais que la nature impitoyable l'en empêche à chaque fois, il met ça sur le dos de cette tortue rouge qu'il finit par tuer. Le film part ensuite dans le surnaturel, la tortue se transforme en femme et le protagoniste abandonne les vestiges de son radeau à la mer en acceptant l'idée que sa vie est désormais ici avec sa tortue devenue femme.

Est-ce le fruit de son imagination ? Je le crois. Immergé dans cette déréliction la plus totale sans avoir la possibilité du moindre contact avec le monde extérieur, et sujet à des hallucinations de moins en moins sporadiques, il aurait alors fait inconsciemment un déni de réalité. A la manière de Marion Cotillard dans Inception, perdu à jamais dans les limbes du néant. Rien est pour autant explicite ce qui laisse au spectateur le choix de son interprétation.

La musique fait l'expérience du sublime avec ces voix célestes aux allures d'un Requiem et de la transition entre le monde des vivants et l'au-delà . Ce film par ailleurs muet est davantage une rêverie méditative sur le cycle de la vie et une ode au pouvoir de l'instant présent. La tortue du titre devient une métaphore, un symbole pour voir et apprécier les merveilles de ce qui est juste devant nous, peut-être pas comme quelque chose que nous pensons vouloir, mais comme quelque chose dont nous avons besoin.

Malgré des qualités réelles et son questionnement existentiel philosophique, l'ennui se joue régulièrement de nos paupières qui finissent par devenir lourdes. Quelques dialogues n'auraient pas été de refus. Le style graphique à base de fusain est assez terne et sans relief. La sobriété dans l'excès. Enfin, le film n'aura pas réussit à m'émouvoir malgré son éthique spirituelle qui elle m'a beaucoup plu

Même pas un revisionnage partielle? Certaines mériteraient peut être une réanalyse approfondie

Climax (2018)

Une troupe de danseurs se réunit pour répéter et faire la fête une dernière fois avant de s'envoler pour une tournée aux Etats-Unis. Mais la soirée vire très vite au cauchemar lorsqu'ils découvrent alcoolisés, que du LSD a été versé dans la Sangria

On reste sur des thématiques abordées de manières récurrentes dans les films de Gaspard Noé : La Drogue dure et ses conséquences - Le Chaos vertigineux - La jeunesse déliquescente - Le sexe dépravé - L'inceste - La mort de causes tragiques le tout accompagné de longs plans séquences ou la caméra se contorsionne régulièrement.

A la différence de "Enter The Void" qui était un film expérimental éclairé, unique en son genre et nimbé de bonnes idées moteurs, "Climax" semble être sa suite spirituelle sans relief. Comme s'il semblait à court d'idées après avoir apposé sur un tableau de toile imprimée tout le stock qu'il avait en réserve.

On retiendra toutefois un concept toujours singulier et quelques dialogues croustillants qui nous amuseront, mais tout ça reste bien maigre et sans inspiration
